Now he was in a virtual world where he was the one desired, and where the women were eager to do whatever he wanted. He felt flush with power, and that made him harder than ever.

His hands clung to her tighter as her skin grew slick with sweat dripping from his body.

It didn't take long before he felt his body going rigid, losing the rhythm. His legs and butt tightened as his climax approached.

"I beg you, Master," she cried. "Please, give me your seed!"

His knees buckled as he came, and her arms dropped, leaving her screaming into the mattress as she peaked with him.

As the climax eased, he hunched over her, and gasped for breath. Only now, as his cock began to soften, did he realize how incredibly sore the night's antics had left him. He groaned as he slipped out of her and slumped onto the bed next to her.

She sighed and smiled down at him while running her fingers through his sweat soaked hair. "That was wonderful, Master. But I sense you wanted more. You don't have to be gentle with me."

He just smiled, barely finding his voice again. "Okay."

A knock came to the bedroom door, along with a familiar voice. "Hey, get a room, you two! Oh, you already did."

He rolled his eyes. "Can I help you with something, Scarlett?"

He could hear his robot laughing as she said, "Nah, I'm just messin' with ya. Although just remember that after fucking Xana and Chetaara, it's my turn in the rotation. We also got some serious shit going down out here."

Byron closed his eyes and sighed.

Chetaara kissed him and let her hand slip off his sweaty brow. "We have plenty of time, Master. We shall continue later on. I always want you."

"I want you, too." He sighed, reminding himself there was more to Venus Online than sex, even though he might not always want there to be.

He pulled on his jumpsuit with Chetaara's help. When she zipped the front up to his neck, she gave him one final kiss before turning and heading for the bedroom door.

She wore nothing but her bone necklace.

He reached out to stop her. "Hey, you want me to go get you some clothes or something?"

Her breasts bounced as she turned and tilted her head. "Why, Master?"

  "Well, you're naked."

The puzzled look came back to her face. "Your taboos about nudity are very curious. Do you not enjoy seeing my body, Master?"

  "Well, yeah, sure."

"Then you have no objection, and I have no objection." She spread her hands to take in her curves. "On my world, it is considered a sin to hide the work of the gods under shreds of cloth. I only wear clothing on other worlds for the sake of their standards of modesty or protection. While we're on the ship, I would like to honor our tradition. That is, unless you don't wish me to, Master."

He looked down at the soft curves of her breasts and dark nipples. "I have absolutely no problem with your traditions."

  Chapter 4

He followed Chetaara into the lounge area of the ship, admiring her bare ass swinging in front of him.

The wide and comfortable room had a variety of entertainment, including the bar where Scarlett had mixed him a drink the night before. He found his robot playing some sort of game where she pointed her fingers at tiny spaceships that appeared in the air. Whenever she pointed at them, the spaceships popped in puffs of flame.

As she swung to pop the ships, she yelled, "Yeah! High fucking score, baby!"

He watched her silver boobs jiggling and decided he liked the game, too.

When Byron walked in, she swept her hand to make the holograms disappear. "Oh, hey, baby. A videogame inside a videogame. Freaky, right? How'd it go with Xana? I want all the dirty details."

He held up his hand. "Uh, no. I won't kiss and tell."

She came up to him with a pout and batted her eyelashes. "Aw, come on, please? Just tell me if the carpet matches the drapes."

He smirked. "Why don't you ask her yourself. Where is she, anyway?"

Scarlett shrugged. "Beats the fuck outta me. I haven't seen her since she went in your boudoir. And how were things with my future lover, Chetaara?"

Chetaara giggled and twisted one foot into the floor. "Very well."

Scarlett moved in to give her a quick kiss. "Don't forget you owe me some bedtime, too, baby. But Captain, we're picking up an incoming ship. It's a scout. From a pirate fleet."

They headed to the bridge as she said, "We're in pirate territory. This whole system is crawling with 'em, and you don't wanna fuck with any of them."

When the bridge door opened, he could see the distant light flickering against the red planet below. When he tapped his targeting computer, it put an overlay over the light as "Class 2 Scout."

Scarlett pointed. "So the way it works is, the pirates send out these fucking things, and if they find somebody, they call the rest of the fleet to gangbang our asses. I haven't picked up any communications, so it looks like it hasn't spotted us yet. We gotta keep it that way."

Words formed in the air in front of Byron that only he could see, an overlay from the game:

  NEW MISSION: DESTROY PIRATE SCOUT

  REWARDS: 500 XP

Xana spoke up from her console, surprising Byron who hadn't seen her come in and sit down. "Um, I can jam the scout's signal but only for four minutes at the most."

Chetaara nodded. "So we have that long to destroy it."

He pointed at her while sliding into the co-pilot's chair. "Let's do it."

As Xana tapped on her console, Byron punched the keys he had seen Scarlett press before. The weapons console lit up and joystick snapped out, putting him in command of the guns again. He felt a thrill knowing he had learned something about how to operate the ship. Maybe it wouldn't take long before he could fly it without Scarlett's help. He made a mental note to have her teach him soon.

For now, he focused on the crosshairs that traced over the scout ship ahead.

The scout's engines flared as the ship began to move away.

"Oh, shit," Scarlett murmured. "He must've picked up our weapons lock. He's running."

"Not for long." He guided the ship's crosshairs until they locked on and fired.

The Icarus' twin laser turrets flashed through space to pierce the area near the scout, but the tiny ship blazed out of reach. The scout spun and twisted while Byron continued to fire.

The lasers stopped firing. He looked down to see the laser turret icons blinking red.

Scarlett shook her head. "There's a thirty second cooldown if it overheats."

The scout whirled and rushed towards the Icarus with its lasers stabbing the darkness. The Icarus shuddered as the gunfire hit its forward shields.

Scarlett looked up at the main display of the ship. "We're losing forward shields!"

The Icarus rocked through more impacts, even as Byron glared at the ship's laser console, waiting for it to turn green.

"Come on, come on," he whispered.

The scout whirled around to fire again.

  The crosshair display turned green.

Byron fired, and his laser guns pumped into the scout ship.

The scout fired a few more shots before its health bar dropped and the ship exploded in a fireball.

The game's text overlaid on his vision.

  MISSION COMPLETE

  +500 XP

The Icarus erupted in a boom as sparks flew from the ceiling. Red lights flashed on the console.

Scarlett punched the ceiling. "Fuck! Good news, we killed the scout! Bad news, he fucked us before he left!"

Xana called out, "We lost the main cooling regulator! Pumping too much coolant into the main engine! The core's going into shutdown!"

She dashed out of the bridge.

With the scout ship gone, Byron felt like he could help more by following her.

He raced through the ship until he came to the engine room. He'd never seen it before, but it looked a lot like he would have imagined.

Huge glowing columns ran down the center of a hall w
ith consoles and wires running along the walls. The columns moved up and down like pistons while a heavy rumble made it hard to hear anything else.

Xana held onto a cable sticking out of the wall, pulling as hard as she could, which didn't seem to be enough.

She had to yell to be heard over the roar of the engines. "We have to pull the coolant line, but the cable won't come free!"

He remembered his high strength stat, and thought it might be good for something other than weapons. He grabbed hold of the cable and pulled.

Veins swelled on the surface of his arms as the muscles worked. His elbows and shoulders felt like they would pop before the cable did.

Just when he thought he couldn't pull any more, the cable snapped loose. Sparks flew from the end as it hit the floor.

The reactor's whine lowered in pitch as it began to slow down.

Xana broke into a smile. "Okay, now I can route the coolant through the auxiliary lines."

Scarlett leaned into the engine room. "Translation, our asses won't blow up. Great job, Xana. I owe you a spanking. I also wanted to let Byron know we're gonna starve."

  Chapter 5

He shook his head. "What? What are you talking about?"

She headed out of the engine room and pointed to the ship's galley. "We got five people on this ship and three food packets left. We need food and supplies, bigtime."

Walking into the galley, Chetaara took down the packets and nodded. "You speak truth. We are in dire need, but the Outsider will provide."

Besides the fact that he hated the generic food packets in Venus Online, they didn't provide much of a health boost. He wasn't sure what would happen if he went hungry too long. Would he die of starvation in the game as well as reality? If so, he had learned the hard way that dying in Venus Online would leave him dead in real life.

Once again, his mind wandered to his real body somewhere outside the game. The last thing he had seen in the real world had been the cushioned chair inside the egg-shaped virtual reality pod before turning it on. He assumed he still lay in the chair back in reality. While a day had passed in the game, it had only been a few hours in the real world so he was in no danger of dying of starvation on the outside. Still, he wondered.

He shrugged. "Okay. So we'll just buy more."

She waved a finger at the bracelet on his wrist. "Check your wallet, dude."

He tapped his wrist to bring up his stats and inventory.

  MARINE - LEVEL 3

  STR: 13

  DEX: 7

  NRG: 1 (+5)

  ARMOR: 4

  HEALTH: 40/100

  CREDITS: 0

"What?" he yelled. "What happened to all my credits?"

She braced her hands on her hips. "You forget all that shit you bought back on Aegis? Weapons and gear ain't fucking cheap. Okay, the drinks were a little overpriced, but the point is you're strapped."

He sighed. "Okay, fine. We'll just get some more credits."

"Exactly." She pointed to his pocket. "We can sell that necklace for a lot of cash."

He remembered the crystalline necklace that Chetaara and her family had given him and shook his head. "No way. That has sentimental value."

Chetaara approached him and stroked his hair while smiling. "Thank you, Master."

He nodded. "No problem. I mean, we'll just do some missions. That's the whole point of the game, right, to level up? How do we earn credits?"

Scarlett pointed her chrome fingers like guns. "Well, we could be bounty hunters. Hunting down bad guys across the Galaxy and blowing their balls off."

He folded his arms and shook his head. "Uh, I don't think I want to do that. What if one of the bounties turned out to be a real player character? If I kill them, they die in real life. I don't wanna kill just for the fun of it."

"But that's the best reason to kill!" When she saw the look on his face, she folded her arms and sighed. "Fine, we could haul some shit around, I guess. Do some trading."

"That sounds like a better plan. How do we do it?"

Scarlett went to a square on the wall and tapped it. It lit up as a screen with text.

As she worked, Chetaara dropped down onto the floor and knelt at Byron's feet. When she leaned her head against his legs and smiled up at him, he felt like blushing. She seemed so devoted to him that he felt horribly unworthy.

Scarlett took a step back and waved at the screen. "Okay, this is the trading board. People post what they want and where they want it sent to. The cash and XP you earn for each mission is here."

He leaned closer to the board to study the text. It looked like a job board, just like she said.

One line caught his eye. "What's this? Jamaki Four is looking for a shipment of epzirotene. What's that?"

Chetaara spoke up from his feet. "It is the only known treatment for the Choroba Plague, a disease spreading across the stars. Jamaki Four is suffering from a terrible outbreak."

Growing up in New York, Byron had been a sickly child and his mother had struggled after his father died to get enough medicine for him. He remembered days of looking out his window at her walking through knee-deep snow to get to the pharmacy. He flashed back to that as he stared at the job board.

"So they need someone to bring them medicine." He nodded. "I can do that."

Scarlett pointed at another line. "Sure you don't wanna take this one? These guys are paying three times as much for a shipment of ghemac crystals."

  He nodded. "I'm sure."

Scarlett shrugged. "You're the boss, captain. I'll send a message we'll take the job and set course for the pickup area."

The game's text popped up in the air in front of him for a few seconds.

  NEW MISSION: DELIVER MEDICINE

  REWARDS: 5000 XP, 2000 CREDITS

As she headed for the bridge, Chetaara gave his legs a hug and murmured, "Such a kind master I have."

After Scarlett set course to pick up the medicine, Byron hunted through the ship to find Xana. He found her in the engine room where huge glowing columns hummed with the sound of power flowing through them.

Xana lay underneath one of the many control consoles. Wires dangled from an open hatch as she huddled under it, working with a tool that looked like a screwdriver with a glowing end. She still looked gorgeous, even with her hair hanging loose around her head and oil smudging her face and hands.

He approached her with his hands in his pockets, trying to look casual. "Hey, Xana. Whatcha doing?"

She murmured, "Um, I'm changing the cold fusion plugs. It's-it's just a mess. Whoever your mechanic was, he or she doesn't know shit about hyperdrive engines."

That made him pause, because he wasn't sure who had been running the ship before he got it. In fact, he didn't even know if the Icarus existed before he got it or if it came into existence when he entered the game. He also didn't know if Scarlett had been taking care of the ship. Once again, he wished he'd gone through orientation.

He scratched the stubble growing on his face. "Look, about what happened earlier--"

She stopped working and frowned up at him. "You mean when we had sex?"

He didn't know what else to say, so he said, "Yeah."

She went back to the wiring and her screwdriver-tool glowed again. "What about it?"

"I just wanted to make sure that, you know, you're okay with it."

She pulled one of the dangling wires out and plugged it into another socket. "Yes. I liked it."

"Good. I liked it, too." He scratched his cheek and realized he was doing his nervous habit of subconsciously covering his scar on his cheek from the real world. He forced himself to stop. "I just wanted to make sure you didn't, you know, uh, get mad."

She stopped her work again to look at him. "I-I don't understand. Why would I be mad?"

He decided to stop beating around the bush. She seemed pretty straightforward. "About Chetaara. When she came into bed with us. We're sort of lovers."

Her eyes widened. "Um, I know. I thought you
were having sex with the robot, too."

That took him off-guard. "Well, yeah, I am."

She plugged in more wires and went back to work with her screwdriver-device. "I figured that when I saw you three in the club."
